April Streeter
April Streeter is a 2003 graduate of Kellogg Community College where she obtained an Associate of Applied Science degree in Paralegal studies. Ms. Streeter is Certified in Healthcare Compliance through the Health Care Compliance Association and is a member in good standing with the Association. Ms. Streeter serves as a resource for clients and firm attorneys on corporate compliance questions and tasks, specializing in HIPAA Privacy and Security. She also covers a wide range of document production and editing, litigation preparation, legal and media research and correspondence, as well as overseeing office operations. Ms. Streeter has over eight years experience with non-profit health care organizations, having worked with a health care system in Battle Creek, MI, where she served as a paralegal and coordinator in the legal department. Her responsibilities included assisting the General Counsel and associate attorney in developing the hospital's risk management, corporate compliance and HIPAA Privacy program, and drafting and reviewing contracts for the organization, with an emphasis on hospital-physician relationships.
